Brisbane Airport is located approximately 17 km from Brisbane city center and takes roughly 20-25 minutes. So, for a smooth and effortless travel to the city, the Brisbane Airport offers wide range of road and rail transport.

Train

The cheapest, easiest, and quickest way to get to the city from the airport is the Airtrain. There is a train every 15 minutes during peak hours and every 30 minutes off-peak periods. You can opt for express services to the Gold Cast and connects into the Queensland Rail suburban network.

Purchase the tickets at the Airtrain desks in each of the Terminals, or at the Airtrain stations. For savings, book online and in advance. Go Cards are also accepted on Airtrain services.

At the International Terminal: take the travellator or lift to Level 3 of the Terminal building and follow the signs to the station.

From the Domestic Terminal: go to the front of the building and take the Skywalk across to the station.

Terminal Transfers: At $5, Airtrain offers transfer service between the International and Domestic Terminals.

Bus to airport

Council Bus Service:

Make your way to the Skygate Centre, where bus route 590 runs seven days a week. Catch the bus to the rail network at the Toombul Interchange.

Airport taxi

There are two authorized taxi services available from Brisbane Airport—Black & White Cabs and Yellow Cabs. A ride to the city, which takes 20 minutes (non-peak hours), will cost you around $45 - $55. However, the toll road will cost you additional $3.90 from the airport. The taxi service is available round the clock.

Car Rentals: Hire a vehicle of your choice from these airport authorized vendors: Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Enterprise Holdings, and Thrifty. You can book it online or at the airport.

Shuttle: Con-x-ion offers airport shuttle bus and operates from both Terminals. Tickets can be purchased from Con-X-ion website or at the sales kiosk at the Terminal.

Rideshare:

Book your ride share from your preferred app. Then, follow the signs to the Ride Booking areas.

Domestic Terminal: It is on the central road between taxi and passenger pick up and drop off, either side of the Skywalk.

International Terminal: From Level 2, at the southern end of the Terminal, follow the Ride Booking signs down the ramp to the pick up area.

Bicycle: Cycling is permitted within the airport precinct where there is a mix of shared pedestrian and cycle paths, however, cyclists are not permitted to cycle along Moreton Drive. Shower facility is available after you cycle to the airport.
